Meet the Founder
Bill Platzer has over 35 years of experience in the field of public accounting with a diversified group of clients.
Bill is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional, Certified Valuation Analyst, and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics. He has a Master of Science in Taxation and Bachelor of Science in Commerce – Accounting.
He specializes in accounting and tax issues related to small and medium sized closely-held businesses, advisory and consulting, construction contractors, and professional practices.
He also works on a regular basis in the complex areas of litigation support and business valuation.
He has testified as an expert witness in the United States District Court and the Judicial Circuit Courts of Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties.

About Bill
For more than a decade Bill was an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University, School of Construction, where he taught “Financial Management of Construction Organizations.” He has also taught CFMA’s “Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional Overview Seminar.”
He has made presentations before the: U.S. Department of Transportation Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization; Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Florida Gold Coast Chapter; Miami-Dade County Small Business Development Division; Florida A & M University Construction Management Development Program; and CFMA South Florida Chapter.
Bill is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants; Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals; Construction Financial Management Association; and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Steven has spent his entire professional career in public accounting, specializing in financial accounting and consulting services for closely-held construction organizations. He also provides high-net-worth individual clients with expertise in the areas of tax compliance, preparation, and planning matters.
Steven is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional. He has a Master of Accountancy from Auburn University’s Raymond J. Harbert College of Business and received their MAcc Leadership Summit Award for Outstanding Online Student. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Central Florida.
Steven is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; the Construction Financial Management Association; and Golden Key Honor Society. Steven loves playing golf, although he has yet to beat the old man (Bill) in head to head competition.

Dayra has twenty years of experience helping clients in many different industries with all aspects of their accounting needs.
She has extensive knowledge in sales tax, payroll, and QuickBooks matters. She was born and raised in Cali, Colombia, and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Before moving to the United States, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Universidad Libre Seccional Cali, in Colombia.
Dayra is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional and has an Enrolled Agent credential that allows her to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.

Zack has spent his entire professional career in public accounting. He works on a regular basis assisting construction industry clients in accounting, financial management, tax compliance and planning matters.
He specializes in implementing methods to minimize tax liability, in preparing individual, corporate, partnership and sales tax returns, and the composition of financial statements.
Zack is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional and a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. A graduate from the University of Miami, Zack has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management with a minor in Finance.
He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. In his spare time, he achieved his real estate sales associate license in the State of Florida.
About Lindsay
Lindsay is a bookkeeper with the firm. She assists clients with their QuickBooks and prepares individual and business tax returns.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University and an AA degree in Foreign Language from the Community College of Rhode Island. She speaks Italian as a second language and is consistently improving her Spanish and Romanian.
Along with her husband and Laurie, she operates three online e-commerce stores. She is currently working to earn an AS degree in Accounting at Broward College and hopes to be able to guide others in catching the entrepreneurial spirit in the future.

Laurie has been Platzer & Company’s office manager and problem solver forever. She was born and raised in Miami Beach, and after graduating from Miami Beach Senior High, she attended the University of South Florida in Tampa.
For many years, Laurie was PTA Treasurer at Nova Eisenhower Elementary and Nova Middle School and a chaperone for the Debate Team at Nova High School.
Laurie runs three e-commerce stores with her daughter Lindsay and enjoys spending her free time playing Mahjong with her friends. She is Bill’s wife of 40 years and is the rock of both the firm and the family.
